Is the blender game engine suitable for making a fully fledged 3d game?
I'm wanting to work on a relatively simple online shooter with my friends. I am a fairly competent programmer, and have worked on networked projects before, however never worked on a game. I started off using OGRE3D with C++, and although I got somewhere with it, it was clear I was out of my depth, the blender game engine looks like a nice place for a beginner gamedever, but would it let me do what I want, should I just give up on this for now and learn more about actually programming for games, or will blender work well?
