Hosting pioneer AIS Network today announced that ClueTrust founder and president Gaige B. Paulsen has joined the advisory board responsible for guiding AISN?s rapid growth and cloud computing business.

?AISN is excited to have the benefit of Gaige?s wisdom and strategic mind as we strengthen our position in the cloud computing market,? said AISN Chairman Kurt Baumann.

Paulsen is currently chief executive of ClueTrust, which makes Cartographica and CartoMobile, geospatial products for MacOS X and iOS.

Revered technology executives Doug Humphrey and William L. Schrader joined the AISN advisory board in February.

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) December 09, 2011

Hal Handel, a long-time racing industry executive who most recently served as executive vice president and COO of the New York Racing Association, has joined TVG, America?s Horseracing Network, as a special adviser, Stephen Burn, TVG?s president and CEO, announced.

Handel?s appointment is effective immediately. In his role as special adviser, Handel will provide strategic advice and direction to TVG?s television network and its ADW business. He will also act as liaison between the company and key stakeholders in the US horse racing industry, particularly those on the east coast, and will assist the team in its efforts to bring exchange wagering and other innovative products into the US.

?We are extremely pleased to welcome Hal to TVG,? said Burn. ?Hal has been a leading racing industry figure for more than three decades and during that time has been instrumental in the success of several major racing organizations. He brings a proven track record and a wealth of industry knowledge to our company. I look forward to working with Hal as TVG moves forward into the next phase of our development.?

?I am thrilled to be joining TVG at this time in the company?s history,? said Handel. ?With our industry at a crossroads, TVG is committed to helping shape the future in a dynamic way and I look forward to playing a role in doing so. While at NYRA I was fortunate to work with Stephen and his team and feel we have forged a close relationship which will make my transition an easy one.?

Handel?s tenure at NYRA began in September 2007 and concluded this past August. While there he was involved with all areas of the company?s operation, including facilities, horsemen relations, simulcasting, marketing and customer service. He played a key role in the development of the Aqueduct casino, which opened last month.

Prior to joining NYRA, Handel was CEO of Greenwood Racing, then operator of Philadelphia Park, now Parx Racing. Previously he was executive vice president and COO of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority?s operations at the Meadowlands and Monmouth Park.

Handel, a graduate of Rutgers University and Seton Hall University Law School, is a former New Jersey deputy attorney general. He began his horse racing industry career in 1977 as counsel to the New Jersey Racing Commission before becoming the commission?s executive director.

Handel has also served in several other racing industry leadership positions, including as a trustee of the American Horse Council, chairman of the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau and president of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations.

TVG, a subsidiary of Betfair Group Ltd, the premier e-gaming betting community, is among the most widely distributed horseracing networks in the world. TVG is one of the largest legal online horse betting companies in the US, accepting over $ 600 million in wagers in 2010. The company has demonstrated its commitment to the racing industry, its owners, tracks and fans through sponsorship of several preeminent races including the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile and the TVG Pacific Classic.
